‘Tis the season to celebrate! With New Year’s right around the corner, we wanted to create a fun styled shoot with a touch of pink sprinkled into the traditional New Year colors of black, white & gold. And since the party isn’t official until there’s glitter and sparkle, we tossed in a few (big) handfuls here and there! This shoot was a dream to style as it was a combination of our favorite things – pink, gold and glitter.  We felt that the blank canvas walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and red brick accents at Hudson Loft made it the ideal location to throw a New Year inspired wedding. The venue itself provided picturesque views of downtown Los Angeles skylines and the oversized windows, hard wood floors and red brick walls brought a phenomenal urban vibe right into to the heart of our shoot.

The floral designers, Wenfloral Design Studio, helped set the stage with their simple centerpieces in varying shades of pink mixed into small sequin filled glass vases and one dominant gold vase. The black and champagne textured linens provided by Designer Specialty Linens helped make our sweetheart table a focal point since it added some drama to our otherwise pastel color palette. For our white wall backdrop, we added festive confetti dots made of different materials and designed a ‘2015’ photo collage of all the wonderful memories that took place in the passing year.

Our female model and full time fashion blogger, Caitlin Chapman, was dressed in a beautiful bare-shoulder gown provided by Simply Bridal. Caitlin rocked two hair styles, one with a customized feathery hairpiece with blush and gold accents provided by Gilded Shadows and the other, a simplistic bohemian chic style with her hair pinned back in soft waves. Her makeup, done by the infamous Chiali Meng & team, was light and sparkly to compliment this cheery occasion. Our male model and actor, Matt Duffett, was equally dapper in a champagne colored tuxedo provided by Simple Tux to compliment his gorgeous bride.

The style of the cake created by Frost My Cake was a mix of art deco and glam set on top of a less textured black linen so the focus could remain on the tablescape and gorgeous cake. We opted to sprinkle gold sequins on the cake table to further enhance the joyous New Year occasion.  Oh Shiny! Paper Co’s “cheers” balloon banner in gold added the perfect finishing touch. Our amazing photographers, Herman Au Photography & Cotton Love photography, worked together to capture the essence of our shoot which was fun, sassy but also classy! We are so ready for an amazing year!
